What this does
Audits your recurring charges and shows the real annual burn—trials that flip, “pro” that isn’t, bundles you never use—and gives you keep/cancel/snooze with receipts.
Why it matters
“Only $/mo” hides in autopay. Ten “onlys” is a car payment. Vendors design for frictionless drift; this puts numbers on it.
How to run it
- List what you pay (card/App Store/Play/PayPal). Add cycle and amount.
- Add usage (days/week or last open date) and risk (what breaks if you cancel).
- The tool rolls up annualized cost, flags dark patterns, and suggests keep / cancel / snooze.
Outputs
- Yearly total (by you, by team, by vendor)
- Auto-flip trials and renewal traps (with renewal dates)
- Keep/Cancel/Snooze list with why
- One-tap evidence: screenshots & notes to save before you kill it
Keep if…
- It pays for itself in fewer minutes than it costs.
- It’s your core workflow and the alternatives are worse.
Cancel if… - You haven’t opened it in a month.
- It’s “pro” features you can’t name.
Snooze if… - You’ll need it later (set a date, not a feeling).
Dark-pattern checklist
- Trials that flip to annual
- “Peace of mind” add-ons you never use
- Bundle that duplicates another sub
- “Cancel by phone only” (take a screenshot of the policy, then call)
Tip
Before canceling, export data / settings and take a receipt screenshot. Vendors love amnesia.
